William Thomas Reesor

William Thomas Reesor peacefully passed on Saturday, April 18th, 2026. He was born in London, Kentucky, on August 1st, 1942, to Beulah Parman Reesor and Harvey C. Reesor. He was married to Peggy Fulcher on January 4th, 1963. Bill was in the army at the time, and he and Peggy spent the first two years of their marriage in Kassel, Germany. Upon leaving the Army, they moved to Lexington, where they lived for 37 years, then moved to Nicholasville in 2002. After leaving the Army, he worked at the University of Kentucky from 1966 till 2019. He retired as the Physical Plant Manager of Utilities. One of his greatest pleasures in life was his relationship with co-workers and friends at the University of Kentucky.

Bill and Peggy were the proud parents of James (Heather) Reesor, William Jr. (Jealena) Reesor, and Brenda (James) Russell. He was the grandfather of Ian, Hadley, Ashlee, Graham, Alexis, Heather, Katie, and James. Also, the great-grandfather of Jaxson, Carter, Josie, Knox, Jayden, and Ella. He was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Reesor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jo Fulcher Reesor, and a brother, Wayne Reesor.

Bill was the type of guy who never met a stranger. He would do what he could for anyone. He believed in kindness as a way of life. Though he may no longer walk beside us, the legacy of his generosity and love will continue to live on in every life he touched.

He will be forever loved, never forgotten, and always remembered.

Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 12:30 PM, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Kevin Davidson officiating. With burial following at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Graham Thomas Reesor, Ian James Reesor, James Russell, James Wilkinson, Cameron Thomas, and Cody Garrett.
