Viola Hall Curtis Combs

Nicholasville-Viola Hall Curtis Combs, 95, widow of Henry M Combs, of Stotts Lane, died August 31, 2008 after a brief illness. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was born on July 20, 1913 in Estill Co. to the late George Greenberry and Lummie Bird Branaham Hall. Survivors include six children, Irene (Sherman) Willoughby-Garrard Co., Carrie Combs Willoughby-Lex., John M. (Jane) Combs-Logan Co., Loretta Faye (Robert) Abney-Lex., Paul B. Combs Sr.-Lex. and Mary Elizabeth (Tracie) Reece-Nicholas Co., twenty one grandchildren including a special grandson, Paul B. Combs Jr., numerous great and great great grandchildren, a sister Eldora Reed. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Jane Combs, several brothers and sisters. Services will be 10:30am Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9pm today. Grandsons will serve as bearers.
