Vernon "Pete" Hardin

Nicholasville-Vernon -Pete- Hardin, 97, husband to Ruby Simpson Hardin for 73 years, died September 30, 2008 after a brief illness. He was currently a resident of Harrodsburg where he stayed with his daughter and her husband. He was formerly of Willow Drive in Nicholasville and was a former resident of Florida. Pete was a member of the Church of Christ and was a lockmaster at High Bridge for three decades. Additional survivors include a daughter and son in law, Shannon and Norman Jennings-Harrodsburg, two grandsons, Harry Joe (Sherry) Mitchell and Larry Vernon (Julie) Mitchell, two great grandsons, Mark and Danny Mitchell, a great granddaughter, Athena Mitchell, two great grandsons, Jeff and John (Lisa) Jennings.
