Tom R. Hall tended the cattle on his central Kentucky farm Monday morning, April 20, 2026, and went to be with his maker that evening. Tom always loved farming and worked hours with the local vet to vaccinate cows and calves before he sat at his home computer and peacefully passed away.
While family and friends tend to feel he died too young at the age of 70, the timing was perfect. Tom always practiced his faith and placed God first in his life. And, he enjoyed God’s many blessings, his family (including four grandchildren), the picturesque farmlands of Kentucky and Ohio, the animals and, of course, the lakes where he boated, skied and taught his children, grandchildren and friends to share his passion.
He was almost as passionate about his alma maters, The Ohio State University and Northmor High School, and the many people he met there who became life-long friends. Some of those friends along with family members, however, drew the line when Ohio State played Michigan in football. Tom anticipated the rivalry every year when items such as dead roses and toilet paper that played the Michigan fight song would arrive.
Tom loved to have fun, and he served in many roles to many people -- husband, father, grandfather, Sunday school teacher, commodity broker, and insurance agent.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Holdsworth), children Nathan (Heather) and Kathryn (Duncan), and grandchildren Abbey, Alexander, and Ava Hall and Rylee Bennett. He is also survived by his brother, Dave (Mary), and sister, Cathy (Mike) Mask. His sister, Fran, and her husband, Barry May, and his parents, Marion and Millie Hall, preceded him in death.
While we mourn Tom’s passing, we celebrate his life! Services will be held at Gracepoint Church in Galion, Ohio, with visitation at 1 on April 27, 2026, followed by the service at 2.
