Thelma Lee Corman Teater

Thelma Lee Corman Teater, 94, widow of Virgil Teater, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at her home in Wilmore, Kentucky. She was born in Fayette County, Kentucky, on October 7, 1927, to the late Sherman Kersey Corman and the late Susie Anderson Corman. Thelma grew up on Jessamine Station in Jessamine County and was retired from Bluegrass Energy, where she worked as a billing supervisor. She is survived by a daughter, Kim Teater Shea Wilmore, KY; grandsons, Alec Michael Shea (Shane Webb), St. Petersburg, FL; Bret Stephen Shea (Justin Dalton), Nicholasville, Kentucky; and Christopher Patrick Shea, Ridgecrest, CA; great-granddaughter, Cadence Shea; sister, Carolyn Corman Stinnett; a special niece, Brenda Stinnett Walter, and numerous nieces and nephews and family by choice, Leonard and Kathleen Sutherland and Mark Sutherland. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lenora Corman Stinnett and Evelyn Corman Parr; brothers, Knight Corman, Marion Corman, Ronald Corman, Buford Corman, Gilbert Corman, and Sherman Corman, Jr. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Maple Grove Cemetery.
