Stephen F Bokros

Stephen F. Bokros, 76, husband of Linda Marie Dean Bokros, of Nicholasville, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Westerville, Ohio, on January 2, 1950, to the late Joseph Michael Bokros and Florence Caroline Cain Bokros. Stephen retired from Link Belt Construction Equipment, where he worked as a machinist for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, serving as a 2nd Class aviation structural mechanic. Stephen was a member of the Nicholasville Christian Church and a volunteer for the Boy Scouts, the Jessamine County Youth Football League, the Jessamine County Youth Baseball, the Jessamine County Youth Basketball, and the Bluegrass Hemerocallis (Day Lilly) Society. Stephen loved his Kentucky Wildcats, no matter the sport, and grew up as an Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Linda, two sons, Stephen Scott (Kelly) Bokros and Eric Jon (Monica) Bokros, and was preceded in death by a son, Joseph William Bokros. He is also survived by a brother, John (Linda) Bokros, two sisters, Mary Neer and Dorothy (Dave) Henry, a sister-in-law, Sue Bokros, sixteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Charles Bokros. Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Derek Bokros, Hayden Hamm, Joseph Daniel Bokros, Daniel Bokros, Michael Bokros, Joe Murphy, and Tyler Dean. Honorary Bearers will be Chancelor Robinson, Dave Shumaker, Mike Pasley, and Patrick Dean. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
