Sheila Powers Walker

Sheila Powers Walker, 52, formally of Nicholasville, died July 6, 2009 in Lexington after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Doris Peel and the late Thomas Peel. She was a graduate of the Citizens Police Academy, past board member of the Jessamine County Fair and past member of the Nicholasville Lions Club. Survivors include her children, Richard Shane (Amy) Powers and Dawn Lynn (Sherman) Jett, granddaughters, Alexia Paige Powers and Ayden Brooke Powers, a sister, Sherry (Mike) Garrett, nephew Michael -Mikey- Garrett Jr. and niece, Kelsey Garrett. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, July 9 at Betts & West Funeral Home. Private burial will be held at a later date.
