Samuel Edward May

Samuel Edward May, age 63, husband of Cherie Lee Guy May, passed away on November 11, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Shirley Combs May on August 30, 1959. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter Destiny May-Bradley (Cody), and three stepdaughters Becky Whitaker (Tim), Melanie Neal, and Jennifer Hampton (Danny), twelve grandchildren, John, Katlynn, Kevin, and William Dotson, Hunter Whitaker, Ryder Whitaker, Jayvion May, Alexis Dykes, Courtney Hopper, Sara Hopper, Shane Hampton, and Stormy Hampton, three great-grandchildren Colton Hampton, Layla Hampton, and Waylon Dykes, one brother James May, one sister Nancy Gibson and nine half-siblings. He was also preceded by one grandson Braylen May. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Ark of Mercy Church of God in Winchester, Kentucky with Bishop David Marsee officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM-1 PM at the church on Wednesday. Casket bearers will be Tim Whitaker, Danny Hampton, Cody Bradley, Matthew and William Dotson, and Clifton Guy. Honorary bearers will be James and Jayvion May.
