Roy Durham

Roy Durham, 74, husband of Donna Jean Cartwright Durham, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on January 22, 1951, to the late John T. Durham and Addie Clouse Durham. Roy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a classic man who spent much of his time hunting, fishing, and even woodworking. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Jean; son, David Michael Durham; daughter, Norma Jean Draime; brother, Robert Durham (Bonnie); sister, Patty Johnson (Billy); grandchildren, Timothy (McKenzie) Draime, Aby Draime, and Amy Draime; as well as great-grandchildren, Easton Edmundson, Gannon Edmundson, Evelyn Davenport, Ryleigh Draime, and Rhett Draime. He is preceded in death by brothers, Harold Durham, Richard Perrin, Charles Perrin, Theodore Perrin, and Bennie Coomer. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 29, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where serving as pallbearers will be Gene Brooks, Drew Parsons, Bryan Boyle, Brett Boyle, Kevin Wheeler, and Mike Draime. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Roy and his family in their time of need.
