Ronald Dean Dykes, age 86, widower of Betty Sue Dykes and Betty Ann Dykes, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at his home in Lancaster, Kentucky. He was born on February 16, 1939, in Paris, Kentucky, to the late Carl Frye and Francis Dragoo Dykes. Ronald was a Pilot for Wilkinson Flying Service and was a United States Navy Veteran. He is survived by five children: James Dean Dykes and his wife, Crystal, Richard David Dykes and his wife, Ann, Larry Dale Dykes and his wife, Melony, Janet Darlene Hentenaar, and Linda Carolyn Lear and her husband, Kevin, a brother, Clifford Dykes and his wife, Alice, and a sister, Phyllis Kennedy, and her husband, John. Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Steven Dwayne Dykes. Graveside services with Military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Maple Grove Cemetery with Bro. John Kennedy officiating.
