Robert Lee Lootens

Robert Lee Lootens, 86, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the home of his daughter in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Robert was born in Perry County, Kentucky, on August 28, 1939, the son of the late Joseph Lootens and Lorenze “Lora” Banks Lootens. Robert was a retired principal for the Perry County Board of Education and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a daughter, Veronica Anne Becknell, and her husband, Greg; a son, Robert Lewis Lootens, and his wife, Trish; and five grandchildren, Bryan (Courtney) Becknell, Kelsy (Luca) Bicchieri, Cadyn (Aaron Best) Becknell, Jack Lootens, and Lily Becknell and three great grandchildren, Ella Becknell, Molly Becknell and Everett Best. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 15, 2025, at St. Luke Catholic Church, with Father Aldrin Tayag officiating. The burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
