Robert "Bob" Fuller

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Fuller, a beloved husband, brother, father and friend, who left this world on August 8, 2026. Born September 9, 1952, in Lexington, Kentucky. Bob’s life was one filled with love, dedication, and a passion for the simple joys that life had to offer.

Bob was the cherished son of Robert H and Annette M (Horton) Fuller, who preceded him, along with his dear sister Patricia (Fuller) Wilcher. His life was enriched by the enduring love of his wife, Selena Fuller, with whom he shared a beautiful journey since their marriage in Lakeland, Florida, on September 17, 2011.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his sisters Jackie (Cloyd) Morgan, Connie (Daryl) McKinny, Jean (Steven) Hawkins, and his brother Clyde (Bess) Fuller. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Jessica Fuller and Sheila Pierce, and his sons, David Burkhart and Christopher Burkhart. Each of them held a special place in his heart and life.

Bob’s career was marked by dedication and hard work. He began his professional journey at a young age in Kentucky, working at McDonald’s, Burger Chef, and Eastland Bowling. His professional path led him to Armor Meats, which took him briefly to Texas before returning to Kentucky. Bob later joined Lexington Steel Company, which eventually brought him to Oakland Park, Florida, in 1978. There, he worked for Steel Fabricators, LLC before moving to Lakeland, Florida, where he became a Certified Welding Inspector at Dixie Southern Industrial in Polk City. Bob retired in 2016, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and commitment in his field.

In addition to his professional achievements, Bob was a active and proud member of several organizations, including the Sebring Moose Lodge 2259, Lake Placid Moose Lodge 2374, and the Thunderbolt 201 Moose Legion. His involvement in these communities reflected his generous spirit and dedication to camaraderie and service.

Bob has a deep passion for fishing, NASCAR, and baseball, pursuits that brought him immense joy and relaxation. Whether casting a line into calm waters or cheering for his favorite team, Bob embraced life with enthusiasm and a smile.

In leu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bob’s memory to Good Shepherd Hospice – The Bud and Donna Somers House, 1110 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33870.

Bob’s warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured forever. His family finds solace in knowing that he is at peace and reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him
