Mildred Evelyn Hall, 97 of Nicholasville, Kentucky went to her heavenly home on August 15, 2021. She was born September 20, 1923 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond Willis Raber and Stella Marie Matilda Horch Raber.
Millie graduated from Massillon High School in Massillon, Ohio, in 1941. On March 14, 1944, she married Francis Marion Hall in the Raber Home. The couple moved to Camp McCain, Mississippi where Marion was stationed in the US Army. They remained there for the duration of the War, returning then to their farm located south of Galion, Ohio.
Millie worked for the Timken Roller Bearing Company in Canton before her marriage. While in Mississippi she worked for the Ration Board. Later she served at the Ohio State University as secretary in the Chemistry Department while Marion worked on his degree in Agriculture Education.
After graduation they returned to the farm in Galion, Ohio where Marion worked as an agriculture instructor and FFA advisor in the Iberia High School and Northmor Schools. Millie worked as a secretary to the Superintendent of Schools at Northmor for 3 years.
She and her brother, Paul, took care of their parents for several years.
Millie began serving in the church at age 13 when she was asked to substitute teach a Sunday School class. She continued serving in the Galion Free Methodist Church teaching Sunday School, leading programs such as CLC, Junior Church, FM Youth, and Women's Ministries for well over 60 years. Truly, Jesus, the Church, Francis Marion, mothering, and homemaking were Millie’s joys in life.
After moving to Nicholasville, Kentucky to be near children in December 2006, they became members of the Willmore Free Methodist Church.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Marion Hall in May, 2007; by her parents, R.W. Raber 1987, Stella Raber 1978; brother Raymond in 1919;
