Nicholasville-Merrell Greer, 70, husband of Shirley York Greer, passed away October 21, 2011 at his home after a battle with lung cancer. Merrell retired from the University of Kentucky. Additional survivors include his daughters, Stacey (Mark) Wilks and Kelly (Wes) Long, a granddaughter, Hannah (Jake) Hughes, two grandsons, Ty Wilks and Owen Long, two sisters, Opal Sebastian and Hazel Faulconbury, numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, Earl and Wanda Ingram. Services will be 1:00pm at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Caywood Morris. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Sunday. Bearers will be Danny Calico, Gary Greer, Roger Noe, James Earl Greer, Travis Fritz and Trey Fritz. Online guestbook at www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com
