Margaret Catherine White

Margaret Catherine “Cathy” White of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

She was born on October 20, 1949, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late Jennings H. Hash and Hazel E. Hash.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel L. Buffin (Kelly), and son, Gregory L. White; and 4 grandchildren: Taylor White, Gage White, Vivian Buffin, and Madelyn Buffin. She was also survived by siblings Hope Durr (Thom) and Michael Hash (Linda), as well as several nieces and nephews.

In her early years, she was well known for her bookkeeping and tax expertise. She later spent her days and nights fulfilling her lifelong dream of quilting, sewing, and crafting.

Cathy will be cremated, and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
