Marcella Kaufman French

Marcella Kaufman French, 81, wife of Carl “Bill” W. French, of Kevin Drive, Nicholasville, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 13, 2021. She was born in Woodford County on December 26, 1939, to the late Edward and Margaret Adams Kaufman. Marcella worked as a cosmetician for Walgreens and retired after 25 years. She is survived by three sons, Douglas French, Larry (Tammy) French, Keith (Lisa) French, one sister, June Lucas, two grandchildren, Dylana Goatee and Amye French, two great-grandchildren, Aidan Goatee and Mila Morris. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Lillian Crawford, Thelma Cartwright, Dorothy Teater, and Gladys Wiley. Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 19, 2021, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Chaplain DeWayne Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Bobby French, Richard Horton, Robbie French, David Cartwright, Jackie Waldrop, and Arnold Cramer. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
