Linda Darlene Lathery Peel

Linda Darlene Peel, 71, wife of Eugene Peel, of Hidden Spring Drive, Lexington, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at Baptist Health in Lexington. She was born on August 23, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late James Hubert Lathery and Ruby Annette Adams. She was employed by Kuhlman Electric. She is survived by a son, Lewis (Heady) Sewell; a daughter, Ruth Blankenship; a sister, Cathy Lathery (Wayne) Rogers; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jr. Lathery, Donnie Lathery, and Bobby Lathery, and one sister, Annette Walton. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Donnie Bowling officiating, and visitation on Friday from 5-9:00 PM.  The burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery with Dustin Blankenship, Dalton Blankenship, Steve Lathery, Jeff Lathery, Zach Pattyjohn, and Allen Devers as bearers. Honorary bearers will be Anthony Rodgers, Odell Peel, Donnie Blevins, Eugene Wilson, George Wilson, Alex Devers, Michael Devers, and Mark Pettyjohn.
