Linda Sue Bowles Hughes

Linda Sue Bowles Hughes, 74, wife of Donald Hughes, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Nicholasville Nursing and Rehabilitation. Linda was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 15, 1950, to the late Russell Bowles and Ruby Brumfield Bowles. She was a homemaker and attended Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Donald, her daughter, Misty Renea Hughes, and her husband, Jordan. Two grandchildren, Alyssa Hughes and Chloe Hughes, a brother, Russell Atwood “Rusty” Bowles, and his wife, Connie, a niece, Jennifer Wayne, and her husband, Michael, a great-nephew, Cooper Wayne. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald Breckinridge Hughes, and a daughter, Amanda Lynn Hughes. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Ray Murphy, Charlie Watts, Larry Teater, Robert Bruner, Rusty Bowles, and Alyssa Hughes.
