Larry “Bear” Bates, 72, passed Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born March 6, 1946 in Wheelwright, KY to the late Gomer and Dixie Cook Bates. Family survivors are four siblings, Beulah (Neil) Brumlow, Billy (Joyce) Bates, Homer “Bud” (Lynn) Bates, and Karen Bates, and other family members.
