Kenneth Ray Doolin, 80, husband of Runa Faye Duty Doolin, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, in Florida. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on February 8, 1943, to the late Harold Doolin and Ida Mae Davis Doolin Dunn. Kenneth was retired from Dixie Cup, where he worked as an expediter and trainer for many years and was a veteran of the US Army. He had such a love for clogging and line dancing that he taught the art form for twenty years, choreographing numerous routines along the way. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Runa; son, James Doolin (Jenny); granddaughter, Jessica Doolin (James Hall); special nephews, Ronald Ray Martin, Jamie Montgomery, and Steve Monnig; special nieces, Tammy Doolin Kelty, and Kelley Doolin Childress; as well as special sister-in-law, Birdie Montgomery. In addition to his parents, Harold and Ida, he is preceded in death by brothers, Freddie Doolin, Harold “June” Doolin, and William “Bill” Doolin, as well as a sister, Betty “Sis” Martin. Services will be held at 5:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service, Thursday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Doolin family in their time of need.
