We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Judy Carolyn Riddle Leasor, born on August 9, 1944.Judy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Henry, O, Riddle, and Ella Mae Riddle True, her husband of 50 years, Virgil Taylor Leasor Jr.; her sons, Paul Taylor Leasor and Stuart Thomas Leasor.She is survived by her sister, Elaine (William) Leasor, son, Jonathan Wayne (Amariah) Leasor; her daughter, Janet Carolyn (Jason) McDaniel; and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Kay (Paul) Leasor.She will be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren: Ruth Desiree Leasor; Miriam Elizabeth (Hayden) Hildebrandt; Lydia Taylor Leasor; Bridget Justine (David) Lucas; and Landon Joseph Taylor Leasor.She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Piper Lucille Kopchak and Luna Wren Taylor Lucas.Judy passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer. She will always be remembered for her fun-loving and humble spirit. Above all, she was a devoted servant of God, whose faith shaped her life and gave her strength and comfort.Judy, a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, found great joy in sharing her beliefs with others and treasured the resurrection hope found in God’s promises. Her family and friends take comfort in God’s assurance of a future resurrection and the prospect of seeing her again in God’s loving care.Judy retired from the University of Kentucky, where she worked as an orthopedic sports technician.Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Betts & West Funeral Home, 404 N. Main St., Nicholasville, KY. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 110 Shannon Parkway, Nicholasville, KY. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve the Leasor family in this trying time.
