Joseph Gorman Morris

Joseph Gorman Morris, 42, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away on February 6, 2026. Joe was a skilled outdoorsman, loving son, admired big brother, loyal friend, and life of the party. Joe never met a stranger and lived each day as if it were his last. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. When he was not in the tree stand or on the water, he could be found with a hound at his side in the woods. Joe, alongside his father, also spent most of his time taking others hunting, often helping them harvest their first trophy. Joe’s attractive personality and natural charm made him easy to love. Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hershel Joe Morris Sr., and his grandmother, Gladys Rose Morris, of Corbin, Kentucky. Joe is survived by his father, Hershel Joe Morris Jr.; his mother, Allison Taylor Morris; his sister, Jayda Morris (JD Jones); and his girlfriend, Miranda Bridges. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. The visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jordan Carter, Terry Pinkham, JD Jones, Tevis McCauley, Westin McCauley, and Micah McCauley.
