John Philip Ackerman

John Philip Ackerman, 80, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Richmond, Kentucky. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Donald Maurice Ackerman and Helen Irene Griffin Ackerman. He is survived by his brother, Bruce “Ed” Ackerman (Karen); niece, Kathy Ackerman Baar (John); nephews, Mike Ackerman, Damon Ackerman, and Brian Ackerman; great-nephew, Luke David Baar; a good friend of 50 years, Marilynn “Jo” Marcus; cousins, Phyllis Satter, and Marilyn Marley; as well as family members on the West Coast in California, and many friends in Charlotte, North Carolina. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, at Betts & West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve the Ackerman family in their time of need.
