John "J.C." Charles Bourne

John Charles “J.C.” Bourne, age 81, Lifelong resident of Jessamine County, husband of Martha Jean Davis Bourne, passed away Saturday morning, April 11, 2026, at Nicholasville Health and Rehabilitation in Nicholasville, Kentucky. J.C. was born on March 6, 1945, in Lexington, Kentucky, to the late John Clark William Bourne and Nell Elizabeth Slone Bourne. He was a retired employee of Trane Company in Lexington, Kentucky; the owner of J.C. Bourne Thermal Insulation; and a retired Constable in Jessamine County. He was the Past Master of Hart Lodge 61 F&AM. Survivors include his daughter, Deanna Bourne Cummins (Jay), a son, John Bourne (Sherry), a brother, Robert Bourne (Sue Anne), two sisters, Laverne Bourne and Imogene Van Hook, two brothers-in-law, Dennis Pigg, and Bobby Davis and a sister-in-law, Nancy Davis Thomas, three grandchildren, Victoria Bourne Morales (Jacob), Sydney Lynn Bourne (Danny), and Jonathon Walker Bourne. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Billye Ann Roberts and Sue Bourne Pigg, and a brother-in-law, Dick Davis. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Bethel Christian Church with Bro. Bill Bales and Mickey Stinnett officiating. The burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be John Bourne, Jonathon Bourne, Taylor Bourne, Brad Van Hook, Randy Roberts, Todd Davis, Robbie Davis, and Scott Perkins. Honorary Bearers will be his 1963 Jessamine County High School classmates. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home.
