John Charles "Charlie" Burge

John Charles -Charlie- Burge, 80, husband of Mary Burge, died Friday. He was born August 4, 1929 in Lincoln County to the late James Edgar and Pelina Childers -Lina- Harp Burge. Charlie was owner and operator of Burge-s Garage, co-owner of Marathon Service Center and operated a tow truck for over twenty years. Additional survivors are a son, Johnny (Sue) Burge, a granddaughter, Stacy (Kent) Adkins, a great grandson, Landon Adkins, all of Nicholasville and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Switzer. Services will be 10:30 Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
