Joe Dale Fletcher

Joe Dale Fletcher, age 95, widower of JoAnn Baldwin Fletcher, to whom he was married for 71 years, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at his home in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born on November 7, 1930, in Georgetown, Kentucky, to the late Arthur Fletcher and Mattie Goddard Fletcher. Joe was a member of Wilmore Presbyterian Church and a meat cutter for Fitches IGA for many years before opening his own business, Fletcher’s Meat Market. He also served on the Wilmore City Council for several years. He is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Staton and her husband, David, Kathy Fain and her husband, Robert, and a son, Robert Mason Fletcher. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, Candi Lambert (Warren), Jaime Legal (Todd), Jill Taylor (Jack), Vince Fletcher (Angel), Shane Fletcher, Jake Fletcher (April), Ben Fain, Austin Purvis, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, James, Roger, Bobby, and Raymond Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30. 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Beth Logsdon and Chaplain Gary Fletcher. The bearers will be the grandsons and family members. Honorary bearers will be Leonard Fitch, Charles Hahn, Leslie Miller, Billy Poor, J.L. Clem, Brandon McCullar, Billie Haws, Peggy Barker, and April Fletcher. The visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
