Jewell Mays Fugate

Jewell Mays Fugate, age 97, of Lancaster, Kentucky, widow of James Fugate, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Nicholasville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Knox County, Kentucky, on July 14, 1928, to the late Clarence May and Mary Lawson Mays. Jewell is survived by a son, Jimmie Fugate, and his wife, Patricia; a daughter, Jo Ann Turel, and her husband, Benjamin; and five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Additional survivors include a sister, Mildred Slavey, and two brothers, Johnny Mays and his wife, Sheila, and Paul Mays. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, June 26, 2026, with Chaplain Diane Munoz officiating. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
