Jerry Dale Johns

Jerry Dale Johns, 74, husband of 51 years to Judy Gail Johns passed away Wednesday January 27, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Jessamine County, Kentucky on September 29, 1946 to the late William Houston Johns and Daisy Alice Fain. Jerry worked for many years for the Mt. Carmel Sand & Gravel as a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Coons (Ed) and son, Jerry Dale Johns Jr. (Angie) six grandchildren, Tabatha Johns, Tiffany Bowman, Bobbie Nicole Bowman, Loryn Brooks, Jerri Lynn Brooks and Meghan Hutson, four great grandchildren, Conner Wheeler, Zachary Arvin, Alexis Fox, and Katie Hudson, and two sisters, Brenda Harrison, and Ramona Austin. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Johns. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Visitation will be Monday beginning at 11:00AM until time of service at the funeral home. Bearers will be Nick Estes, Ed Coons, Jerry Johns Jr., Lueck Wright, Darryl Peel, and Conner Wheeler.
Honorary Bearers will be Gerald Brown and Mike Sturgill. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
