Jeanette Tyra, 77, of Nicholasville Kentucky, entered the arms of Jesus on December 10, 2025. She was born on November 1, 1948 in Wolfe County, KY, the second child of the late Ova Tyra and Emma Dalton. She was a loving daughter and sister with a heart of gold, and a mischievous streak that was a mile long. She had a playful, teasing nature but loved with her whole heart. She endured the hardships of single motherhood, and weathered all storms in her life with a smile on her face. She was the best example of what a true mother should be, to her own, as well as a multitude of others. She provided unconditional love to two daughters, who she gave birth to, as well as a step-son who she raised as her own. That love extended later in life to a son-in-law and daughter-in-law as well as a few special “adopted” children. Known lovingly as Ms. Pack to most of her students, she dedicated over 40 years of her life as a teacher, and preferred to love on the “bad boys” that no one else would give the time of day. Her glass was never half empty. In fact, it was always flowing over-with love for her people. Later in life, she found great joy in the love and care of her grandchildren. They were her whole world, and she loved them with her whole heart. If Mamaw was needed, she came. No questions asked. Her grandbabies came first, and they absolutely adored her for it. She was preceded in death by her her parents, Ova Tyra (Maudie) and Emma Sowder (Kenneth), and a beloved older brother, Ralph Tyra. She is survived by her children, Erin Fannin (Matt), Rebecca Pack, and Ryan Pack (LuAnn). She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Shelby Haggard (J.D.), Hanna Pack, Lucas Fannin, Landon Fannin, Lillian Fannin, Lawson Fannin, Nathaniel Pack (Tasha), and three great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind a brother Rick Tyra (Jackie), sister Vickie Reed (Mike), sister in-law Yvonne Tyra, multiple beloved nieces and nephews, as well as many very loved friends. She was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her, and to know her was to love her. Funeral arrangements: Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville, KY.
