James Roy Hager, 70, passed away, Thursday, December 22, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born June 9, 1952, in Jessamine County, Kentucky to the late Louis Hager and Linda Stinnett Hager Bates. He worked for the Jessamine County school system for many years and maintained the Mose Reynolds Cemetery for nearly 30 years, he enjoyed the guitar and watching U.K. sports. James Roy is survived by his brother, Louis (Pat) Hager, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Audie “Hoss” Hager (Cricket), and his sisters, Brenda “Pearl” Hager Dickison (Mark) and Amanda Curtsinger (William). James chose cremation. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Christ Community Church, located at the corner of West Brown Street and Johnson Avenue, services will be held at 6:00 PM.
