James Ephraim McDowell, Sr.

James Ephraim McDowell, Sr. 84, husband of Magdaline Howard McDowell, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Grayson, Kentucky, on January 2, 1941, to the late Harvey James McDowell and Thelma Josephine Wright McDowell. James had worked for General Telephone for many years and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Magdaline; son, James Ephraim McDowell Jr. (Tina); daughter, Susan Kendricks (Rob); and grandchildren, Cody Pulliam, Noah Pulliam, Molly Pulliam, and Giacomo McDowell. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Scott, Betty Wright, and Dorothy Crase. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 16, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
