James Anthony “Tony” Rose, 67, husband of Darrilyn Parrigin Rose, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 9, 1955, to Charles Earl Rose and Peggy Louise Riddell Rose. He was a graduate of Sayre High School and attended the University of Kentucky. Tony is survived by his wife, Darrilyn; sons, Patrick Rose and Eric (Samantha) Rose; grandchildren, Patrick Rose Jr., Elijah Joe Rose, Zion Luka Rose, Rylan Jacob Rose, Myla Anastasia Rose, Ethan Edward Little, and Elizabeth Kay Rose; as well as two people who he considered to be his brothers, Marty Frazer and Carroll Crouch. Services will be at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 8, at Parkway Baptist Church, with Pastor Keith Allen Sands and Pastor Marty Frazer officiating. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Carroll Crouch, Herman Tudor, John Sartin, Marty Frazer, David Riddell, Patrick Rose Jr., Rylan Rose, Charles Riddell, Gary King, and Joe Riddell. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service, Monday, at the church. Betts & West is honored to serve the Rose family in their time of need.
