Hobert Arnold Prewitt, 57, husband of Janet Lynne Griffith Prewitt, passed away, Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home on Harrodsburg Road in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was born on the Ft. Knox Army Base in Kentucky on June 4, 1963. Son of the late Jimmy Clarence Ashcraft and Julia Elizabeth Epperson Ashcraft. Arnold was retired from Nicholasville Police Department serving as a Patrolman and D.A.R.E. officer, former member of the Jessamine County School Board, former member of the Sports Broadcast team of JessFM, known on air as “The Coach” and served in the US Army Reserve for 6 years. He was a member of the Jessamine County Sports Hall of Fame, was presented the Key to the City of Nicholasville for his dedication to the citizens of Nicholasville. Arnold devoted and dedicated his life to his wife, sons, friends, and the youth of Jessamine County. Survivors include four sons, J.T. (Nicole) Prewitt, Justin (Blake) Prewitt, Clay (Tia Halphen) Cunliffe and Austin Cunliffe, brothers, Jerry (Deana) Prewitt and Ted (Laura) Prewitt, sisters, Nancy Parvin and Pamela (Brian) Smith, nine grandchildren, many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and very special friends, John Branscum, Eli Smith, Timmy Ogden, Tommy Ogden, Todd Gooch and William Warfield. He was preceded in death by a brother Fenton Prewitt, Jr. Services will be 4:00 PM. Thursday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Dr. Glen Spann officiating and visitation from 12:00-4:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
