Gregory "Guppie" Allen Collins

Gregory -Guppie- Allen Collins, 49, died Saturday after a brief illness. Greg was a avid UK fan and golfer. He is the son of Wanda Ritchie Collins and the late Luke Collins. Additional survivors are his daughter, Candace Michele -Cabbage- Collins, a granddaughter, Savannah Faith (Tolson) Collins, forever loving sister, Charlotte Sue Allen and her fianc-e Glenn Edwards, nieces, Ashley Brooke (James) Edwards, Camille -MillMill- Allen, Hannah Edwards, special friend and soul mate, Wanda Cope, loving former wife, Janet Lynn Collins, step father, Harold -Podge- Speakes. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Speakes. Services will be 1:30 pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Mandrell officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Bearers will be Mike DeSpain, Brian McFarland, Robbie Powell, J. R. Murphy, David Houp and David Oaks. Honorary Bearers will be Andy Dietrich, Darrin -Dag- Willis, Glen Edwards, Kyle Pike, Miles Moores, James Edwards, Mike Wilson, Jackie Corman and his other good and dedicated friends.
