Grace E. Chasteen

Grace E. Chasteen, 85, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. On March 1, 1936, she was born to the late Clyde Teater and Laverne East Teater. She worked as a secretary for Standard Products, Mason Hanger, National Mines, and Best of Flowers for many years. She grew up in Little Hickman, attended Parkway Baptist Church for 30 years, and has been a member of Rosemont Baptist Church since 1996. She is survived by one brother, Charles (Elizabeth) Teater, a nephew, Harold Smith, a great-nephew, Stephen (Kelsey) Smith, and one great-great-nephew, Wesley Smith, and a special friend Tom East. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Teater Smith. Services will be Thursday, December 23 at 2 PM at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Brother Eddie Benton officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
