Glenda Lee Akers

Glenda Lee Akers, 85, widow of Donald Laverne Akers, died Monday, December 25, 2023, at Ephriam McDowell Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. She was born in Jessamine County, Kentucky on July 6, 1938, to the late Leo Harrod and the late Laura Marie Carney Harrod. Glenda was a salesperson at Sears and Roebuck. She is survived by 3 children, Laura (Stephen) Johns, Stewart (Laura) Crutchfield, and Lainie (Joe) Taylor, three stepchildren, David L. (Cindy) Akers, Jessica Ann Akers, and Tammy Michelle (Ryan) Wagner, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Gibbs. The burial service will be held at 2:30 PM, on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
