George Michael Lyon

George Michael Lyon, 85, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born in New York City on November 15, 1936, to the late George Lester Lyon and Irene McGuire Lyon. George was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his daughter, Katy Swinford (James Mastin); son, Christopher George Lyon; grandchildren, Samantha Lyon, Barret Lyon, Christopher Orr (Brandi), Michael Orr (Sarah), and Alexander Orr (Lakyn); as well as great-grandchildren, Blayre, Travis, Aubrey, Asher, and Adelynn Orr. Graveside services and Military Honors will be performed at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, November 1, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Betts & West is honored to serve the Lyon family in their time of need.
