George Allen Johns Sr., 85, husband of Malinda Baker Johns, of Ballard Rd., Lancaster, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026. He was born in Jessamine County, on April 12, 1941, to the late James William Johns and Marcella Delaney Hall. He retired from Adcom, where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor. George is survived by his wife, Malinda, two children, Kathy Woods, Lyla Carr, seven grandchildren, Nikki Woods, Zachary Woods, Brytni Bergeron, Michael Salata, Catherine Salata, Cory Johns, and Nicholas Clark, five great-grandchildren, Tyler Woods, Ella Bergeron, Kaison Woods, Eleanor Salata, and Charlotte Salata. He was preceded in death by two children, George Johns Jr., and Ann Salata. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the New Hope Fellowship Church with Bro. Richard Stipe officiating. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Michael Land, Bryan Callihan, Zachary Woods, Tyler Woods, Jerry Spurlock, and Justin Bergeron. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the church. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve the Johns family in their time of need.
