Gary Lynn Tolson, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 9th, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on August 12, 1948, in Lexington, Kentucky, Gary lived a life marked by dedication and commitment to those he loved most.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Gary served his country with integrity and pride. Following his military service, he built a long career as a truck driver, working to provide a life of security and opportunity for his wife and children. Gary was also an active member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CMVA), where he formed lasting friendships that he deeply valued.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Susan; his children and their spouses, Daniel and Andrea Tolson, and Leon and Jaime Cress; his grandsons, Aaron and Nicholas Cress; and his beloved siblings, Dennis Tolson and Carolyn Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Tolson, his mother, Christine (Fain) Tolson, and brothers Kenneth and Keith Tolson.

Visitation for Gary will be held Friday, February 13th, 2026, from 10am-12pm at Betts & West Funeral home, in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted immediately afterwards at Camp Nelson Cemetery.
