Frederick Lester Collie

Frederick Lester Collie, 60, husband of Dorothy Mae Powell Collie, of Fairdale Drive, Lexington, died October 14, 2008. He was bookkeeper for the State Highway Department, was a Kentucky Colonel and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. Additional survivors include a daughter, Tabitha Renee Begley Stewart and her husband Jeff, thtree grandchildren, Anthony, Drew and Amber Sewell, a brother Mike Steven Collie. Services will be 2:30pm Friday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Alex Kinchen and Bro. Bobby Green officiating. Betts & West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
