Francis Eugene Spalding

Francis Eugene Spalding, 82, of Lexington, died July 23 after a brief illness. He was an employee of Keeneland. Gene was born July 18, 1926, a native of Lebanon, KY and son of the late Joseph Abel and Anna Hilpp Spalding. He is survived by his son Scott Spalding and Granddaughter Molly Elizabeth Spalding. Additional survivors include seven brothers and sisters, Cathy Thompson, Doris Chandler, Fr Leon Spalding, Bert Spalding, Boyd Spalding, George Day Spalding. He was also preceded in death by his brother Phillip. Services will be held Wednesday August 6 at 6:30pm at the 1st Floor Clubhouse at Keeneland.
