Esker "Dede" Lee Henry

Esker “DeDe” Lee Henry, 83, husband of Sonya Gail Lowry Henry, of Henry Lane in Nicholasville, Kentucky passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. DeDe was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky on December 2, 1937 to the late James William “Bill” and Letitia Clouse Henry. He served in the U. S. Army, retired from Brown Williamson and was a farmer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Leisa Henry Brumfield (Jeff Banta), and two sisters, Louella Houp and Joyce Fayne and other family members. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Johnson, and a brother, James “Boo” Henry. Services will be 12:00 PM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Peel officiating. Visitation will be 2-6:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Jeff Banta, Walter Prewitt, David Hammond, Billy Teater, Billy G. Fayne Jr. and John Roy Watts.
