Erma Jean Bryant Anderson, born 31 July 1937, left this life 2025 September 23. We know she woke this morning to a warm, sunny, forever summer surrounded by family and friends gone before.
May she see our tears of sorrow as the tears of gratitude we also feel and the voids in our hearts from her absence filled by the memories and examples she left behind.
In thought and act a constant love for her husband and four children, and their families too.
Gardener, bird watcher, photographer, artist and art patron, president of art club, hard worker for Ashland Oil, Mary Kay mentor for 25 years, book lover and library volunteer, president of the state library board, keeper of home and friend to those in need, four legged or two, those sometimes creepy and crawly, and often flying, trotting, or flowering, hunter of rocks, and slayer of appetites, teacher by example, and frequent customer of bargain books and closeout flowers.
Steadfast friend and advocate for kindness and peace and quiet.
Preceded to the hereafter by her loving husband Elmer McClelland Anderson, brother Robert James Bryant, mother Erma Mae Uptegraph Bryant, and father Robert Jerrell Bryant.
Missed by many including daughters Melinda (Gary) Kuhnhenn, Pamela (Joe) Salyer, Holly (Sammy) Brown, and son Aaron (Heidi) Anderson, 8 grandchildren Jared Hayes, Lorna Salyer Smith, Joshua Hayes, Megan Salyer Castle, Emily Salyer, Kaden Brown, Owen Anderson, and Emma Brown as well as niece Cindy Woodward, and nephews Marty Morgan and Martin Dean Anderson and her faithful friend Jean Venters.
