Dwight Wade Sewell, Jr.

Dwight Wade Sewell, Jr., age 57, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on August 22, 1968, to the late Dwight Wade Sewell and Linda Abshear Sewell. He was employed by the Allen Company, where he worked in Highway Construction. Dwight enjoyed four-wheeling, riding mules, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by three daughters, Kayla Dunaway and her husband, Austin, Kimberlee Cleaver and her husband, Nick, Brandea Sewell, and a son, Erik Collins, and grandchildren, Bentlee Wood, Brinleigh Wood, Azaire Cleaver, Makayla Wyatt, Amelia, and Hazel Mae. Additional survivors include three stepchildren, Amber Hasty, Robyn Greer, and Travis Greer, a sister, Missy Sewell, and his best friend, Heather Day. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his second wife, Yvonne Lynn Collins Sewell, and his third wife, Cheryl Ann Groves Sewell. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Betts & West Funeral Home.
