Dr. David C. Payne, 74, of Mt. Sterling, died February 28, 2013. He was the son of the late Abner C. and Ruth A. Payne. Dr. Payne served as a professor at the University of Kentucky, Family Studies Dept. He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Laura and Bill Zaspel and son, Tom Payne, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will hold private services.
