Darrell Wayne Kimberling

Darrell Wayne Kimberling, 72, loving husband of Jessie Cox Kimberling, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2026, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Danville, Kentucky, to the late Paul Kimberling and Patty Lynn Kimberling. Darrell was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and had worked as a truck driver for his career. In addition to his wife Jessie, he is survived by a daughter, Holly Michele (Aaron) Kimberling; two sons, Scott Kimberling and Brendan Kimberling; and a daughter-in-law, Misty Kimberling. Additional survivors include seven grandchildren: Logan Collins, Carrie (Cody) Kimberling, Braxton Kimberling, Terry Kimberling, Luna Kimberling, and Abby Thomas; and Chloe Abner; five great-grandchildren: Xander, River, Ozzi, Ransom, and Sutton. He was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Wayne Kimberling, Jr. The funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Betts & West Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with friends and family serving as bearers: Scott Kimberling, Aaron Abner, Logan Collins, Cody Everidge, Braxton Kimberling, and Terry Kimberling.
