Darlene Frances Mickley Olson

Darlene Frances Mickley Olson, age 95, widow of Ronald Dale Olson, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Sterling, Illinois, on October 8, 1929, to the late David Leslie Mickley and Ruth Kathryn Carlson Cluck. Darlene was a Missionary for the Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society. She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Shelton and Judith Larson; three sons, Dale Olson, Ronald Olson, and Andrew Olson; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Mickley. Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, September 24, 2024, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, where she will be interred alongside her husband, Ronald Dale. Family and friends will serve as bearers. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the funeral home.
