Claude Eugene Puckett

Claude Eugene Puckett, age 63, wife and friend of Debbie Smith, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, Kentucky. Claude was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on March 21, 1962, the son of Bettie Sue Walker Puckett Miller and the late Hugh Gene Puckett. Claude worked as a carpenter and was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his mother, Bettie Sue Miller, his children, Brandon Goodlett, Anthony Houp, Jenny Stewart, Christopher Reed, Michael Burch, Melissa Potter, Michael Brock, and Shelly, and a first cousin who was like a brother, Brent Reynolds, and a host of grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Goodlett, his grandparents, Tony and Susie Walker, and Claude and Lillie Puckett, and two brothers, Douglas Wayne Walker and Ray Edward Puckett. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, July 18, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Bro. Timmy Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Bearers will be Brent Reynolds, Stevie Welch, Greg Shepherd, Nathan Bell, Jeff Watts, and Anthony Houp.
