Christine Bell Parker Freeman, age 92, widow of Roy O’Lee Freeman, passed away on Friday, June 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Mitchell, Kentucky. She was born on July 6, 1934, in Nicholasville, Kentucky, to John William Parker and Hattie Bruner Parker. She is survived by three daughters, Marietta Collier and her husband, David Louis, Jr., Sheila Freeman and Lucy Ketchum, three sons, Steve Elliott Freeman and his wife, Tammy, Charles Thomas Freeman, and Roy Freeman, Jr. Additional survivors include eleven grandchildren, Tracey Bond, D.J. Collier, Amy Ketchum, Danny Collier, Roy Freeman, Mark Freeman, David Freeman, Hanna Freeman, Mary Gregory, Sherry Freeman, and Austin Freeman and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John William Parker and Hattie Bruner Parker, as well as her eight brothers and sisters: Sallie Parker, James Parker, William Parker, Roy Parker, Cephus Parker, Tommie Parker, George Parker, Wilbert Parker, and Robert Parker. The funeral services will be conducted at Betts & West Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jay Webb officiating. The burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with family serving as bearers. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
