Christine Bell Parker Freeman

Christine Bell Parker Freeman, age 91, widow of Roy O’Lee Freeman, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, Kentucky, following a brief illness. She was born July 6, 1934, in Nicholasville, Kentucky, to John William Parker and Hattie Bruner Parker, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Marietta Collier (husband David Louis Collier, Sr.) and Sheila Freeman, as well as two sons, Steve Elliott Freeman (wife Tammy Curd Freeman) and Charles Thomas Freeman. Two other children, Roy Freeman, Jr., and Lucy Ketchum, preceded her in death. Additional survivors include eleven grandchildren, Tracey Bond, David Louis Collier, Jr. (D.J.), Amy Ketchum, Danny Collier, Roy Freeman, Mark Freeman, David Freeman, Hanna Freeman, Mary Gregory, Sherry Freeman, Austin Freeman, and 11 great-grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her sister and eight brothers: Sallie Parker Murphy, James Parker, William Parker, Roy Parker, Cephus Parker, Tommie Parker, George Parker, Wilbert Parker, and Robert Parker. The funeral services will be conducted at Betts & West Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with family serving as bearers.
