Charlotte Smith McCulley

Charlotte Smith McCulley, age 78, wife of Donnie L. McCulley, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born on November 5, 1947, in Booneville, Kentucky, to the late Edward Smith and Pearl Creech Smith. She is survived by her three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Helton, Angela Michelle Mason, and her husband, James, and Amanda Renee Burgin, and her husband, Kevin, six grandchildren, Haley Larue, Dayne Mason, Brennan Mason, Hannah Taylor, Andrea Casey, and Landon Burgin and five great-grandchildren, Jace Larue, Maeve Larue, Kyler Larue, Cooper Taylor, and Avalie Casey. Additional survivors include three sisters, Irene Nelson, Wanda Kaye Wilson, and Alma Cole, and two brothers, her twin brother, Charles Smith, and Elmo Smith. She is preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Smith. The funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Terry Cooper officiating, and the burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be James Mason, Kevin Burgin, Dayne Mason, Brennan Mason, Jacob Larue, and Matt Taylor. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the funeral home.
